Mindy and Marc: Isla Boda Extroardinaire!

My best friend from way, way back (7th grade) Mindy got married to Marc on the always-sublime Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I love weddings (I am a wedding photographer, after all), so I was honored and extremely excited to be in the wedding party! And my lovely wife Jennifer was the photographer! I did take a few photos when I wasn't in them, of course. We had such a fun week in Mexico, playing volleyball, drinking pina coladas on the beach, and (in Jennifer's case) eating scorpions while drinking tequila. And we made a ton of new friends!

The wedding itself was a beautiful beach wedding at sunset (though it did get rained out halfway through), with dinner and dancing under the palapa. Earlier in the day we took got up to some hijinx downtown, with Jennifer occasionally having to hold one hand up to stop traffic while she photographed with the other hand and yelled instructions to us across the street. That's my girl!

Although there was a little bit of traffic going by, Mindy and Marc loved their first meeting. As soon is it was done they said "That was so awesome, thank you for having us do that!"

These were the bride and groom pinatas, which would later be smashed to bits by an adoring audience.

Marc can totally rip it up on the dance floor, and I think maybe Mindy didn't know that--look at her expression!

Based on this photo of Jodie about to obliterate a pinata, I'm going to make doubly sure I stay on her good side from now on!

Mindy and Marc were excellent sports about posing in the rain. I think it was worth it!
