Wow! We are freshly back from a fun and exciting whirlwind tour to visit family in Denver, Dallas, and New York. We are hoping to get the heck out of Dodge every winter for a little while to have some warm weather (not that it's been bad in Madison this year!). Note: all photos were taken with the iPhone.
This, the morning we left, is exactly why we wanted a vacation! Although actually this snowfall was so beautiful, I felt bad for not going out and taking photos.
Jennifer rocks a rock in Boulder. Or is she rocking a boulder in Boulder?!
Same rock, different approach by yours truly!
We went for hike in a park on the edge of Boulder.
This is the view from Jennifer's brother Ryan's law school.
Jennifer and her bro, Ryan. And some random lady painted on a garage.
Jennifer made a new friend in downtown Denver.
Jennifer's folks in Fort Worth, outside their favorite jazz joint.
In New York, I was psyched to see the Cindy Sherman show! This is me and Cindy.
I was even more excited to come across an Atget show, a photographer I studied well in college.
My old bandmate John, who I recently reconnected with when I responded to an upright bass for sale ad and he happened to be the seller. He brews beer in Brooklyn now!

Amy Rocks the Frock at DeConstruction Inc.
Amy was so beautiful on her wedding day last May, we were really excited that she wanted to do a Rock the Frock session. I'm still not quite sure about that name, "Rock the Frock". How about "The Gown of Renown"? "Play It Again, Samantha"? "RePlay Session"? Help me out here, folks!
The scenic location we used was the lot outside DeConstruction, an awesome business in Madison which salvages materials from old buildings and resells them. They have all kinds of old doors, windows, bricks, lumber, lamps, sinks and all kinds of other random fixtures. Check them out if you are into that kind of thing--the owner Roxanne is friendly and easy to work with.

Dear Clouds,
Thanks for being so awesome that day!

I had to scale this pile of lumber to get the next shot.

This looks like a movie poster to me for some reason.

Brides, let us know if you're interested in a Trash the Dress session, or a "J'aime la robe" session, or "Return of the Fun Times". Call it what you want, it's up to you!
